U6-U7 Pre Academy

The Rush WI Pre-Academy Program is an in-house soccer program designed to bridge the gap between recreation soccer and Youth Development Academy. It attempts to provide players with competition that is appropriate for their skill and interest level so players are engaged and can build confidence and a love for soccer. Trainings are 1x a week with scrimmages on weekends for 7-8 weeks per season.

The program is under the direction of Rush Coaching Staff with the help of Parent Volunteer Coaches.

U8-U10 YDA

Rush Wisconsin offers a unique opportunity to players in the Dane County Area with its newly constructed Youth Development Academy Program.

The most important distinction of our program, in comparison to other program offerings in the area, is the appointment of our top professional coaches to all training sessions in the Academy. Trainings are also twice per week, with games and festivals throughout the fall and spring season.

This program is open to all participants and is based on registering for the program. Mock tryouts are conducted at these age groups to help players prepare for the competitive pathway.

The Youth Academy program focuses on developing the soccer skills of players who have demonstrated a strong interest and enjoyment of the game. We draw many players from more recreational programs because they are looking for a more challenging soccer environment. Yet, for others, the pure joy of the game brings them to our program.

The purpose of the Rush Youth Academy program is to prepare players to be successful competitive players as they move through our program and graduate to the Senior Competitive program. The Youth Development Academy program focuses on the following key areas:

  • Fun trainings in a safe but challenging environment that follows the Long Term Athlete Development Model and US Soccer Grassroots Play-Practice-Play Methodology
  • Emphasis on fundamental technical, skill development
  • Challenging players cognitively in fast paced small sided games
  • Athletic movement, coordination, and balance exercises and activities
  • Rush core values, team building and importance of sportsmanship

League play

The MAYSA Classic League provides a good competitive base of games for this team. The teams will play in the U9 or U10 age group. Games will be local with games, not exceeding a 40-50 mile radius of Madison. There are 8 games in a season with half the games played on our home field complex on Allen Blvd in Middleton.
